ITINERARY

DAY 01 -BENTOTA

Meet our representative at the arrival lounge at the airport Transfer to your hotel in Bentota. Check in & relax

DAY 02 – SINHARAJA FOREST

After an early breakfast proceed to Sinharaja rain forest reserve. This forest is a UNESCO World Heritage listed site. You will go on a trek into the forest accompanied by a guide.There are no vehicles to take you inside the park. You will have to explore the park by foot. There are rangers at the entrance available for information before you start your trek. Your guide will lead you along slippery trails beneath the canopy of trees. Plants, animals and birds could be seen in abundance. Watch out for leeches and wear long trousers to tuck into your socks. Get connected with nature on this tour.

 

DAY 03 – UDAWALAWA

After an early breakfast proceed to Udawalawe. Next you will embark on a wildlife safari at the Udawalawe National park, a wildlife sanctuary created for displaced elephants during the construction of the Udawalawe reservoir. This sanctuary is now considered the main attraction to spot elephants at a leisurely pace.

Then heading towards Yala for overnight.

DAY 04 – YALA

After an early breakfast start your next wildlife tour at the famous Yala National Park. This park is famous for the elusive leopard and spotting one could be a nightmare with all the jeeps rushing to spots where leopards have been sighted. You will also see many elephants, deer, sloth bear, crocodile, monkeys and endemic and migratory birds. The park is divided into 5 blocks. Block number one is famous for spotting a leopard.

 

DAY 05 – NUWARAELIYA

After an early breakfast proceed to the central highlands of Sri Lanka where the climate is cooler and the scenery breathtaking. You will visit a tea factory and a tea plantation and rest for the day. Nuwara Eliya – The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of mountains, valleys, waterfalls and tea plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places in the island, much similar to an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. 
You will see evidence of British influence around this town. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Anne style mansions.​​

DAY 06 – KANDY

After breakfast proceed to Kandy the last kingdom that fell under colonial rule. This is an historic town, home to the sacred temple of the tooth relic of the buddha. Since Sri Lanka is predominantly a buddhist country you will find many locals flocking to this temple to meditate and pray for blessings from the buddha. In the evening you are free to watch a cultural show that ends with a fire walking ceremony.

DAY 07 – AIRPORT

Today you will check out of your hotel and continue your journey to the airport for your departure. If time permitted we’ll do Kandy City tour.
